A Sign of the Times? This is scary..pls read

Is this the new “justice” for America? A massive armed federal raid in Utah has resulted in two deaths, including the suicide of a popular small town doctor.  Those arrested have been accused of stealing American Indian artifacts from federal land.

The Obama administration’s Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar flew to Salt Lake City to proudly announce the raid. But the arrests were conducted in a chilling manner. According to the LA Times:

Shortly after sunrise last week, a squad of flak-jacketed federal agents surrounded the remote home of Dr. James Redd, arrested his wife and then stopped the 60-year-old doctor as he returned from his morning rounds to arrest him as well….

Nearly 20 agents had surrounded a pair of mobile homes belonging to septuagenarian brothers and led them away in cuffs….

Local authorities called the raids overkill.

Then a day after his arrest, Dr. Redd killed himself….

Redd, the town’s only physician, was known for traveling to treat patients at all hours. Huge lines formed outside the town mortuary for his wake.

The Times story says that the US attorney for Utah “noted that many of the defendants own guns, common in this part of the country but still a cause for caution.”

“Eighteen vehicles surrounded the Redd’s house,” San Juan County Supervisor Bruce Adams said in an interview. “Do we do that with child molesters? With murderers?” He added, “I haven’t seen a piece of pottery or an artifact that’s worth a human life.”

All of this for stealing shards of pottery. For those Americans who bitterly cling to their guns and Bibles … did you get the message?

On May 4, 2009 I participated at the 39th AnnuaKent State University Memorial Event.As the sister of the slain student Allison Krause, I created and gave the following speech:

My name is Laurie Krause. I am the sister of Allison Krause, the daughter of Arthur and Doris Krause.I want to thank you for gathering together today. It’s an honor to be here at Kent State University to participate. I’d also like to thank the student body and May 4th Task Force for inviting me.

I am here to honor people who follow their truths, to respect people who live their ideals, and to focus on the healing of Kent State and our community at large.

39 years ago today, my sister, Allison Krause, was murdered by the Ohio National Guard for protesting and demonstrating against the Vietnam War. Also killed were Jeffrey, Sandra and William, and nine other Kent State students were seriously injured. I’m pleased to see a number of the surviving protestors here today, thank you for being here.

While contrarians are screaming “hyperinflation!”, the money supply is actually shrinking. This is because most money today comes into existence as bank loans, and lending has shrunk substantially. That means the Fed needs to “monetize” debt just to fill the breach.

On June 3, 2009, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke assured Congress, “The Federal Reserve will not monetize the debt.” Bill Bonner, writing in The Daily Reckoning, said it had a ring to it, like President Nixon’s “I am not a crook” and President Clinton’s “I did not have sex with that woman.” Monetizing the debt is precisely what the Fed will do, says Bonner, because it has no other choice. The Chinese are growing reluctant to lend, the taxpayers are tapped out, and the deficit is at unprecedented levels. “Even good people do bad things when they get in a jam. The Feds are already in pretty deep . . . and they’re going a lot deeper.”

Remember New Orleans? Who can forget? Thousands of people – mostly children, elderly,the handicapped, and those who stayed behindto look after them – were stranded for a weekexposed to the elements for a week withoutfood, water, or medical care.

The cause?

The failure of federal levels built and maintainedat the cost of billions of US tax payer dollars.

The party responsible – the US Army Corps of Engineers – did everything possible to shift blamefrom itself including bribe an Engineering Societywith $2 million in “awards” to write a technical reviewfavorable to itself.

We just discovered another tactic they used.

While thousands were stranded without help and then for years after, Corps employees masqueradingas “citizens” posted hundreds of posts to newsblog in New Orleans and elsewhere making personalattacks on Corps critics and blaming the victimsfor being “stupid” enough to trust the levees and livenear them.

If you live in the US, your tax dollars paid for this operation. The Times-Picayune which was aware of the real identity of the people making theseattacks permitted them to go on and is nowhelping shield the Corps by refusing to turnover its Internet logs.

I guess this is what they call a “government-privatesector partnership.” Hard to believe, but it’s all documented.
