ATHENS, GREECE — The prime minister’s office says Greece’s designated finance minister, who was rushed to hospital on Friday, has resigned.
Vassilis Rapanos, chairman of the National Bank of Greece, had been named finance minister last week in the country’s new three-party coalition government. But he was taken ill before he could be sworn in Friday and has been in hospital ever since.
The prime minister’s office say Rapanos has sent a letter of resignation to Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and that his resignation has been accepted.

Greece’s new prime minister was released from hospital Monday, two days after undergoing eye surgery that will prevent him from traveling to a European Union summit in Brussels this week.
The Brussels meeting comes just a week after Greece’s new coalition government was formed following months of political turmoil and two inconclusive national elections. It was to have been a key test of Greece’s hopes of renegotiating some of the austerity measures taken in return for its international bailout, under which it has received billions of euros in rescue loans from the International Monetary Fund and other European Union countries that use the euro.
The country’s incoming finance minister, meanwhile, remains hospitalized after collapsing last week, before he could be sworn in. The ill-health that struck the top echelons of the country’s new government forced the postponement of a visit to Athens by the country’s international debt inspectors, known as the Troika – representatives from the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the IMF.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s spokesman, Steffen Seibert, said that because the Troika needs to first travel to Athens to determine where things stand with Greece’s reform program and then inform the EU, it would be premature to expect any new decisions at the June 28-29 summit.
“That’s why we don’t expect any sort of a resolution at the EU council on Greece,” he said.

There is much speculation on the religious nature of the United States of America as it was founded. Many Christians assert that the United States was founded as a Christian nation and, therefore, it is not only our right but our duty to reclaim it for God. But is America a Christian nation in the true sense of the word?
To call anyone or anything “Christian,” whether an individual or a nation, certain criteria must be met. If we are speaking of an individual, the Biblical requirements are that he must be born again by the Spirit of God, understanding all that this entails.
If we are speaking of a nation, its purpose must be that of ministry in the name of Jesus Christ alone, without regard to any other gods. Its primary charter must be the Bible, and all who hold positions of authority must be individuals who meet the criteria necessary to call themselves Christians. A true Christian nation would be a theocracy governed by God through His prophets. His law would reign supreme in the hearts and minds of that nation’s founders, and all who founded the nation would have to meet the criteria necessary to call themselves Christians. Just as important, the nation would have to have been created in response to a covenant initiated by God with those who founded it.
As a point of information, the Pilgrims did not found the United States; they founded a small colony that eventually got swallowed up by the states and the newly formed federal government.
In March, Lisa Jackson, the EPA Administrator, visited a meeting in Paris for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.
The EPA advised the media that she attended “to discuss the agency’s international efforts on urban sustainability.”
Friend, the EPA has absolutely no economic mandate sanctioned by law. And what does the EPA have to do with ‘urban sustainability’?
Now, Lisa Jackson and Hillary Clinton are about to touch-down in Rio to attend the UN’s Sustainable Development Conference where my team and I have already arrived.
I promise you, the UN conference has absolutely nothing to do with protecting the environment and everything to do with eliminating property rights and capitalism.
In fact, we found the following phrase in the draft document they plan to ratify at the end of the conference:
“In a transition to a green economy, public policies will need to be used strategically to reorient consumption, investments and other economic activities.”
It’s no wonder the UN is refusing CFACT a copy of the document while we’re in Rio, even though we’re officially registered with the UN conference.
We’ve already attended several pre-meetings with UN officials. At one meeting, an official panelist informed the audience that we need to sign a petition to enshrine the “rights of Mother Earth in national constitutions.”
She then told the audience that the UN should send “invoices” to individuals, corporations and governments for their eco-sins.
Everyone in the room smiled and approved.No one except for me spoke up for you!
Hillary and Lisa Jackson won’t do it either.

The operator of the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant has been dumping something like a thousand tons per day of radioactive water into the Pacific ocean.
Most people assume that the ocean will dilute the radiation from Fukushima enough that any radiation reaching the West Coast of the U.S. will be low.
For example, the Congressional Research Service wrote in April:
Scientists have stated that radiation in the ocean very quickly becomes diluted and would not be a problem beyond the coast of Japan.

U.S. fisheries are unlikely to be affected because radioactive material that enters the marine environment would be greatly diluted before reaching U.S. fishing grounds.
“The Kuroshio current is considered like the Gulf Stream of the Pacific, a very large current that can rapidly carry the radioactivity into the interior” of the ocean, Buesseler said.
“But it also dilutes along the way, causing a lot of mixing and decreasing radioactivity as it moves offshore.”
But – just as we noted 2 days after the earthquake hit that the jet stream might carry radiation to the U.S. by wind – we are now warning that ocean currents might carry more radiation to the at least some portions of the West Coast of North America than is assumed.
The floating debris will likely be carried by currents off of Japan toward Washington, Oregon and California before turning toward Hawaii and back again toward Asia, circulating in what is known as the North Pacific gyre, said Curt Ebbesmeyer, a Seattle oceanographer who has spent decades tracking flotsam.

The government of the United States is the result of a revolution in thought. It was founded on the principle that all persons have equal rights, and that government is responsible to, and derives its powers from, a free people. To Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers, these ideas were not just a passing intellectual fad, but a recognition of something inherent in the nature of man itself. The very foundation of government, therefore, rests on the unalienable rights of the people and of each individual composing their mass. The Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson, is the fundamental statement of what government is and from what source it derives its powers. It begins with a summary of those unalienable rights that are the self-evident basis for a free society and for all the powers to protect those rights that a just government exercises.
Thesis: the public is being made widely aware of the fake/fragmented New World Order (fNWO), and parts of the world citizenry are being coaxed into revolt against it.
