Democrats and Obama must think Republicans are idiots but they are only partially right

Having failed to sell the “co-op” option as a substitute for the “government option,” Obamacare fanatics are now pushing the “trigger” option. Of course, any thinking Republican (which excludes Olympia Snowe) sees right through this scheme.

This new proposal to help Democrats pass Obamacare is submitted by no other than Senator Olympia Snowe, (R-Maine), with whom Republicans can do without. The so-called “trigger” plan has been suggested by Snowe who is a member of the “gang of six” Senate negotiators who are trying to broker a bipartisan compromise. Under such an option, if agreed-upon goals are not met by the insurance industry, then that would pull the trigger on government-run insurance; thus keeping a government-run insurance plan on reserve. Liberals complain “the trigger would likely prevent a public option from ever being implemented. Conservatives complain, to the contrary, that it would act as a surefire public option — only several years down the road.” (Fox News) The liberals’ complaint is specious because in the end they will accept anything that can be represented as “bipartisan health care reform.”

“If you say to the government bureaucracy, ‘As long as you find it has failed, you get to build a brand-new bureaucracy,’ you have a guarantee the trigger’s going to go into effect. I mean, you’re only delaying for four years what will become a 100-year problem,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said recently.

A Worldwide public health emergency is unfolding on an unprecedented scale. 4.9 billion doses of H1N1 swine flu vaccine are envisaged by the World Health Organization (WHO).

A report by President Obama’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology  “considers the H1N1 pandemic ‘a serious health threat; to the U.S. — not as serious as the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic but worse than the swine flu outbreak of 1976.”:

New flu not quite a pandemic yet: WHO

GENEVA (Reuters) – The new H1N1 virus shows no signs of sustained person-to-person spread outside of North America and so has not yet tipped over into a pandemic, a top World Health Organization official said on Monday.

Dr. Keiji Fukuda, acting WHO assistant director-general, also told a news briefing it was too early to say whether the swine flu virus would cause a pandemic.

“We remain at phase 5,” Fukuda said, referring to the agency’s second-highest pandemic alert level. “It is still a confusing situation.”

WHO said its laboratories have confirmed 4,379 infections with the new strain.

In early April of 2005, after a particularly rainy spring, an influenza
epidemic (epi: upon, demic: people) exploded through the maximum-security
hospital for the criminally insane where I have worked for the last ten
years. It was not the pandemic (pan: all, demic: people) we all fear, just
an epidemic. The world is waiting and governments are preparing for the
next pandemic. A severe influenza pandemic will kill many more Americans
than died in the World Trade Centers, the Iraq war, the Vietnam War, and
Hurricane Katrina combined, perhaps a million people in the USA alone. Such
a disaster would tear the fabric of American society. Our entire country
might resemble the Superdome or Bourbon Street after Hurricane Katrina.

I used to think that Tamiflu was just a money making scam to make Rumsfeld
richer. Most medical professionals said Tamiflu would be useless, since no

There still have been no Colorado cases associated with the swine
influenza outbreak. CDC confirmed additional human cases of swine
influenza A (H1N1) virus infection in the United States, bringing the
total number of U.S. confirmed cases to 40 in California, Texas, Kansas,
New York City and Ohio. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano

Pandemic Nonsense: Flying Pig Flu H5N1

Are globalist fear-mongers driving the media to panic the public into universal healthcare solutions? Or federally-mandated vaccinations?

By definition, a “pandemic” is an epidemic that is geographically widespread. Fear-mongers are always careful to add the innuendo that millions of people could and probably will die, as in the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 that killed between 20 and 100 million people worldwide.

Excuse me, but how does the death of even a few hundred equate to 20 million?

Mexico, not the usual Southeast Asia, is the origin of the latest flu outbreak. It has spread in limited numbers to several continents. Almost all of the deaths, limited as they are, are in Mexico. The ratio of deaths to infections is very small.

Again, how does this outbreak even remotely qualify as a pandemic? Answer: It does not!
