Keep that up as long as possible!
Oh the insanity. You know some men can keep it up for a very long time. Surprisingly long. Like say, Attorney General Eric Holder. It looks like he has kept it up for quite a while. A deception that is. Also known in it’s natural state, a dirty little lie. New documents have now surfaced stating that the Attorney General was briefed on Operation Fast and Furious in November of 2010.
Operation Fast and Furious enabled Straw Purchasers, who are people allowed to legally buy guns in the U.S. with the “known intention” of trafficking them to drug cartels in Mexico. This particular operation supplied over 1500 guns to Mexican cartels which have now resulted in some American deaths.
Eric Holder has said he couldn’t recall when he first heard of Operation Fast and Furious but stated it was within “the last several weeks.”
Ok, kids. You know what this means? Attorney General Eric Holder, if the new documents are indeed accurate, purjured himself to the House Oversight Committee while under oath. Will anything come of this? Mark my words now, HIGHLY UNLIKELY.
UPDATE – 3:55PM 10-4-11 House Republicans Request Special Counsel to Probe Holder on ‘Fast and Furious’ I still don’t believe anything is really going to come of it. But hey, whatever causes problems for the WH.
I’m also wondering how long the White House can keep it up? (ok, that innuendo just grossed me out a little. I just can’t go there with anyone in the White House.) But I’m enjoying watching the white house frantically forcing Solyndra news under the rug. More documents surfaced, this time in the form of emails from a Democratic Donor who evidently warned the White House of a situation that could be considered an “embarrassment” for the Obama administration. Solyndra received 530 million dollars in Federal Government loans and still filed for bankruptcy.
It’s a black eye for the administration as the first renewable energy company that the government poured stimulus money into even though Obama was warned of it’s risks in viability. AND if that doesn’t get your rocks off, (sarcastically of course) Fox News reports in an article today,
“the administration has pushed forward with loans, awarding more than $6 billion in the past week alone for seven projects. In all, the clean energy loan program has awarded 28 loans worth more than $16 billion since 2009.”
How long is the administration going to keep this UP? And I’m going to answer my own question. They will keep this up as long as they have control of the Senate and Presidency. It’s like we can’t pay our light bill, but they will use our money to pay for some scheme that is telling us, thanks for the money, but we’re going under anyway. And why do they do that? Answering my own question again. It all comes down to donors and lining the pockets of donors. Obama-mama needs campaign funds, especially since he has stated he is the “under-dog” in the upcoming election year. (Oh, he’s a dog alright.)
The other thing I keep wondering today on how long they will “keep it up”, is the yahoos with “Occupy Wall Street”. Someone sent me this link to a unaired video from Fox News interviewing one of the OWS “winners”. He’s very upset we are wasting our time on things like this stupid “Solyndra” stuff. (ohhhhh, you mean corruption in the administration, yeah, that’s just silly of us.) My apologies for anyone that watches the video and throws a brick at their computer or kicks their cat. I do not advocate either one.
And mazel tov to any guy that can keep it up for a very long time. I have to say it’s a catch 22 for a girl. We love the long time thing, or at least I do, but I also love it when you can make a guy lose it. And thank you to all of you for helping me “keep it up” with this blog. Your emails, comments and readership have been overwhelming and oh so appreciated. I hope you “keep it up” and love me long time!

Tunisia – The Ignored Danger to America…

What really puzzled me the past few days was that not one of the major Media’s or Columnists seems to pay attention to the northern African Country of Tunisia.
Tunisia was past decades pretty much the Cancun for the Europeans, focusing on Tourists, primarily from Europe.
Predominantly a Muslim Country, Tunisia was very progressive and did not forcefully insist on radical Muslim rules such as Sharia Law. As a matter of fact Tunisia allowed the building of Hotel resorts, organized Hog and other Jungle Animal Hunting tours and used its breath taking access to the Mediterranean See to offer its shore for Tourism. True to the motto: “1001 night meets western civilization”.
But there has also always been a certain danger in this self declared Wonderland. If Tourists went too far into the southern part of the country, away from the primary Tourist sections, they exposed themselves to Kidnapping by the African Branch of Taliban and Al Qaida. And they were brutally active.
The system was simple: Stay away from Americans and target primarily Europeans. Since the majority of the Tourists are Europeans those Terrorists could be sure that the countries paid the ransom and so they financed their Terror attacks all over the world.
Oh and if you think they are not a threat just think of the past few caught Terrorists in American such as the “Underwear Christmas Bomber” – they all came from Africa.
The landscape as well as the lack of border patrols between the northern African Countries and as well as the fact that the majority of the local Law enforcement (if that’s what you want to call them) is highly corrupt and cooperates with the terrorists makes it easy for those to kidnap and disappear in the deserts between, the countries.
In most cases of kidnapping Muammar Al Gaddafi’s son Islam al Gaddafi, educated in Austria/Europe and connected with excellent ties to European Governments, acts as the local off-the- record negotiator and official point of contact to the “extremists” to buy kidnapped people free.
But the peace is over. This La-La-Fantasy of east meets west and we all go along show has come to an end.
On January 15th of 2011 the people in Tunisia revolted against the current Government and forced the President and his wife to flee for asylum to Saudi Arabia.
While the government and especially the, since 23 years reigning President Zine El Abidene Ben Ali (74) and his wife Leila Ben Ali, got richer and richer on the tremendous income from the Tourists the people of the country hardly ever got anything from the riches.
As a matter of fact the common populace was starving and lived in poverty with rising prices for food and gas and decreasing income.
Now there is a revolution in Tunis. Rumors have it that Leila Ben Ali and her Husband fled the country with 1.5 tons of Gold. The latest news was that the, on January 18th 2011 installed interims government where finally the previous forbidden opposition became three seats lasted exactly 2 hours when those three resigned.

This is true but the law being referred to (Employer Sanctions Law) was enacted in 2008. This is not about the more recent SB1070 but the point is still valid.
The State of Sonora is angry at the influx of Mexicans into Mexico. Nine state legislators from the Mexican State of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona’s new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico. It seems that many Mexican illegals are returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off.
A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to state that Arizona’s new Employer Sanctions Law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state. At a news conference, the legislators said that Sonora, – Arizona’s southern neighbor – made up of mostly small towns – cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools that it will face as Mexican workers return to their hometowns from the USA without jobs or money.
